Their are two ways on fixing tea. The one is called infusion and the other one decoction with water.
To make an infusion:
- take 2-5 parts of herbs (ex Sage, Dittany etc.) in 100 parts of hot water (1 tea spoon of grinded herb is for 1-2 cups of water).
- The water must be 75-85 degrees, not boiling. More essential oils remain in our cup that way.
- Let the herbs for 5 to 10 minutes and then serve.
To make a decoction:
- take 2-5 parts of herbs to 100 parts water. Place the ingredients in a pot and let it boil on low fire for 10-15 minutes. Then serve.
Normally infusions are made from flowers or/and leaves and decoctions from herbal roots, barks or/and leaves.
So you are recommended to make infusions of herbs such as Sage, Dittany, Rosemary, Chamomile, Pennyroyal tea, Thyme, Malotira(mountain tea),Black tea, Green tea, White tea, etc. And decoctions of herbs such as valerian, wormwood, cinnamon etc.
